I Found an LED Mask a Third of the Price — First Look
Beauty · First Look ✦ July 2026 ✦ 6 min read

I found an LED mask for a third
of the price of the iRestore. Here's why I ordered it.

I have not used it yet — this is the honest case for why it earned a spot in my cart, and what I will be checking once it arrives.

When I wrote about the iRestore, the question I got asked most was not "does it work." It was "is there anything similar for less." For a long time my honest answer was no — most of the budget LED masks I looked at cut corners in ways that mattered. The INIA Glow 2 is the first one that made me actually order it rather than scroll past.

I have not used it yet, so this is not a review — it is the honest case for why it earned a spot in my cart, what the spec sheet and the reviews actually say, and what I will be checking once it arrives.

The spec sheet

What it actually is

An FDA-cleared red and near-infrared LED mask — 850nm NIR alongside red and blue light, 220 LEDs, a rechargeable battery, and a timer with auto shut-off so it is not something you have to babysit. On paper, it reads like a genuinely comparable spec sheet to masks costing two to three times as much, not a stripped-down version of one.

Why FDA clearance matters here

It is the difference between a marketing claim and a tested device. A lot of budget LED masks skip this entirely — the INIA does not.

INIA Glow 2 — 850nm NIR Red Light Therapy Mask
✓ 220 LEDs ✓ FDA cleared ✓ Cordless & rechargeable ✓ Auto shut-off timer

Full LED coverage, not a partial panel. NIR included, not left out to hit a lower price point — the 850nm wavelength is the one doing the deeper work. Cordless and rechargeable, so no tethering to an outlet mid-session.

Honest take

"I have not tried this yet — but the spec sheet is the first budget mask I have trusted enough to actually order."

What the reviews
are saying

At the time I ordered, it was sitting at 4.3 stars across more than a thousand reviews, with a few thousand bought in the past month alone. That is not nothing, and it is a big part of why I felt comfortable ordering it rather than waiting for someone else to go first.

Where the price difference likely shows

Build feel and brand track record are the two places I expect the gap to be honest — the iRestore has years of reviews and a more rigid build behind it. I will update this once I know for certain.

What comes next

What I am
watching for

Reviews and spec sheets can only tell you so much. Once I have used it consistently, I will be looking at the same things I judged the iRestore on — comfort over a full session, whether the timer and shut-off actually make it easy to use regularly, and whether I see the kind of change that makes a mask worth keeping in rotation rather than abandoning after a fortnight.

I will update this post, or write the proper follow-up, once I have a real answer.
